We returned to work on the 4th january, by wednesday there was lots of snow and only a few of us turned in so were allowed to go home early, then we learnt they were closing the buildings ’til the following monday 11th, whoohoo!!

The following week the snow came again so I bought a ticket and bussed it to work, it was too treacherous for me walking.

I went out for a pub meal with Elaine on the 20th, my first social outing since christmas. I thought it was just her and me and a couple of friends, so did she but there was about 14 of us so it was a fest haha. We had the gammon to eat, I was ravenous by the time we got it because we had to wait for everyone else to come. Elaines husband took me home, it was after 12, don’t know how I got up for work the next morning.

Sorry I’m playing catch up again, It feels likes I’ve been tired forever and a day but making an effort this afternoon to update ….

We had our work dept’s christmas party the friday before christmas, it was a long day I’d done my days work then worked on reception in the afternoon. We had the party at the adelphi which we were pleased about, but some things weren’t as good as the other times there. I didn’t think the food was as good this year, there was no wine on the tables, and there was a definite them and us. Most from our team said they weren’t going again.

We finished work for the holiday on the 23rd yippeeeee! I went to meet my friend Elaine and some others from her work dept in town for drinks and a meal. It had been snowing so was a bit slippery underfoot so i had to wear boots instead of shoes. I met them in one of the pubs, we had a few drinks then left about 3pm to go for the meal we were having italian. Afterwards we went back to the pub, we stayed there a while then Elaine and me moved on to another pub, it was snowing again and made the city look like a victorian christmas card, it was lovely. Elaines husband came to pick us up, a great day was had by all

I woke up feeling terrible christmas eve, my throat felt raw and my voice was hoarse. Then to top things off the tenant below me’s girl friend kicked off, it was no surprise. Christmas day was more of the same, she didn’t shut up all day, I heard him telling her to shut up, you can’t hear anyone else only you!! That’s how it is, you don’t hear anything or anyone just her filthy common mouth.

Boxing day I went to my sister Hazel’s, I felt terrible, only for the occassion I would’ve stayed in bed. We had a nice roast dinner, I was disappointed I didn’t have much appetite so didn’t get to enjoy any goodies. I stayed the night at David and Sarah’s, they took me home about 6pm the next day and I went straight to bed and stayed there for the next 3 days. I had no appetite and couldn’t put my head down it felt like I’d a brick in my forehead.

My new year was no better, I still felt unwell I wasn’t going anywhere and hey ho had to listen to the tenant below’s girlfriend rantings again!!!!!!!

Mon) My flight was at 7am so I had to be up about 4am ….. when I woke I was in agony, my arms, shoulders and neck, I couldn’t move and pains in my legs. I had a good flight without any problems and arrived in Krakow about 11:15, my taxi was there when I came through to take me to my apt. When I got there I was told by the office staff my apt was still occupied and was asked to accept another or take one in the main sq. I refused, if I’d wanted the other apt I’d have reserved that one and I wasn’t moving to the main sq and so incur more travel costs by having to take taxis to commute there and back to the dental clinic. So they asked would I accept my first night in the other apt for free and move me the next day, which was fine by me. They rang the clinic for me to see when I should go, an appt was made for 8pm. I’d had a long day and unfortunately fell asleep and didn’t wake ’til 9pm, I ran to the clinic, but it was ok, he’s never been on time. I had an x ray and arranged a treatment plan.

Tues) I woke about 8am and got my belongings together to move to my apt, I am happy now. I went to the dental at 2pm, they cleaned my teeth, that took about an hour then I went back to my apt, I fell asleep and woke just in time to return to the dental at 6pm. I had a filling first then waited an hour and then had 2 root canals, I was in agony, my face and body ached. It was after 10pm when they finished I was tired and felt drugged, probably all the anaesthetic.

Wednesday) Independance Day, so everywhere is closed. I slept late then had a long soak in the bath and some pampering. I went on the computer for a while, had some lunch then slept for hours, it was about 9:15pm when I woke.

Thurs) I went to the dental at 10am, I waited 45mins, I had 4 teeth prep’d for crowns, the anaesthetic was agony and literally made my toes curl and me cry. I was there ’til 2:30pm what an ordeal, I could’ve had a break but I just wanted to get it over with. Now I can only eat soft white cheese and yoghurt.

Fri) It was a very nice sunny day, after raining every day it was a pleasant surprise, but I was pleased it wasn’t as cold as I was expecting it to be. I really thought I’d be freezing after my last visit in the March it was so cold and when Mo had been around the same time the previous year it was snowing. I onlyt had to go for a check up today.

The weekend I am free …… Saturday was a nice sunny day again so I went to see the main sq for the first time. It’s very nice and pretty there but was unfortunately blighted by I think it was the museum in the middle of the sq being surrounded by scaffolding 

Mon) My crowns weren’t ready, so I can still only eat cheese and yoghurt, I was so hungry and needed a proper meal

Tues) I went to the dental but my crowns weren’t ready ’til the evening, Dr Artur was too busy to fit them too, I was a bit put out about that but the younger dentist who’d done my fillings fitted them, and as he’d treated me previously I was ok with that. They were beautiful, I was so pleased with the end result.

Wed) I had to be up early for my flight home which was good as there was no hanging around, up and out. I arrived home about 2:15pm.

My friend Lyn came about 12 to go for lunch, we went to Pistacchio, Lark Lane. I had garlic mushroom and chicken chasseur, Lyn had the chicken club sandwich, wow there was so much food. It was very tasty and a lovely restaurant and I would definitely go again

I met my friend Elaine in town after work Friday afternoon, we were getting the bus to the Premier Inn in Leasowe where we were staying until Sunday. We got there about 4pm, The receptionist Lynsey was very chatty and very nice. We went to our room and I bathed and changed, we were meeting David,  Sarah and some others at the restaurant at 6:30pm. I’d ordered salmon in tagliatelle,  it was nice but I was very disappointed. I was expecting chunks of salmon but could barely see it it was a few flakes, they were so mean with it. Elaine had roast chicken dinner, I think maybe I should’ve gone for the same. Elaine and I didn’t stay at the restaurant for long after the meal, there was an atmosphere which made me very uncomfortable and had I known wouldn’t have gone. We left and went back and had a few drinks in the bar at the hotel before retiring to bed.

We got up to go for breakfast about 9am, then went  to shower and get ready for 12 noon, Elaine helped me zip up and stuff I couldn’t manage. Lynsey on reception was again very nice and very complimentary, we got a taxi to Leasowe Castle and arrived about 12:15. Everyone was in the bar so we had a drink while we waited for the ceremony at 1pm. It was very nice and David got a little emotional, so I gave him a sister rub on the back. Afterwards we had photographs taken in the grounds, it was a nice day, with sun and blue sky. The dinner was lovely, melon to start then roast pork and meringue for dessert and drinks. Then the speeches, funny and touching. Then to the bar for more drinks, it was a lovely day and nice seeing my cousins again.  David lent Elaine and I their Bridal room to change for the evening, which was nice of them, hehehe.  …. We sat with my cousins at their table in the evening reception, my cousin Fred took care of us so big thanks to him. The buffet was lovely, I don’t usually eat sandwiches but they were so nice. We had a few dances, I always enjoy that ….. At the end of the night we waited in one of the rooms downstairs for our taxi, and waited and waited….. 2hrs!!!!! I was ready to bed down on one of the sofas, it was ridiculous and put a right damper on things.

Sunday, we had a lie in, we’d cancelled breakfast and got ready for lunch instead. We went in the bar at the hotel, we had mushrooms in breadcrumbs a 16oz steak  which we couldn’t finish so had wrapped to take away. We stayed most of the afternoon, I had some vodkas and Elaine tried some different drinks. Then we got the bus back to Liverpool and had a few drinks in town….. We had a great weekend

I went to cover reception at Byrom St Wednesday afternoon, I was so tired.  After work I went to get another dress for my brother’s  wedding so it was very late when I got home.

I had a difficult week, I felt terrible, I was so tired and ached all over. I worked the overtime Saturday & Sunday morning, I was glad to get that over with too.

My friend Elaine came about 7:30pm for me, we were going to a work colleague of hers 40th birthday party at Aigburth Peoples Hall, her husband wasn’t able to go so she asked me. I’d never been the venue before and wasn’t impressed, it smelt old and stale and was so cold I had to leave my cardigan on. Being a work colleague there was a lot from work, even my line manager oh oh, but it was ok, there was a nice hot and cold buffet and we had an ok night.

I got home about from work about 2.30pm and had a nice relaxing bath then started to get ready, we were meeting at La Tosca a Spanish tapas restaurant in the city centre at 6pm. There was eight of us, Sarah her friend Heather, Hazel, Ruth, Ashleigh, Eileen and Barbara, we ordered one of the meals for two. When it arrived we had prawns in batter, aubergine, potatoes, meatballs, salad, chicken, paella and I can’t remember the other dish? Ruth and Ashleigh had vegetarian food and we had a few jugs of sangria. They all had a sweet but I couldn’t eat anymore so I had a vodka and lemonade instead. I enjoyed it very much, I’d never been before and would definitely go again.

After the restaurant we went to see a show, Our Day Out at the Royal Court about a class of school children being treated to a day out. It was a comedy song and dance it started at 8pm and finished about 10.30pm and I have to say the children were excellent!!! Then we went for a drink at Yates’s the others were getting the last train home but missed it so we went to Weatherspoons then and had a few more drinks. They got the night bus back to Birkenhead and I got a taxi home, I wasn’t up for the night bus and then walking alone in the dark. I’ve no idea the time home but it was a good night

Last week I was very tired, I worked on reception Thursday afternoon then my friend Elaine met me afterwards, we had a couple of drinks, it was very nice but we only a couple as we were going to have a drink Friday. I worked on reception again Friday afternoon but my friend Elaine couldn’t meet me as she had to go see her mum  was ok, I said to Andy when you see her tell her I put my sexy blouse on too after taking the rise out my top the day before.

I was working Saturday morning it’s hard getting up but not so bad once you’re there and will be nice in my pay. I had a bath and went to bed Saturday afternoon, bliss. The cretins below were home and at 6.30pm she kicked off, I shouted down shut her up but was told to fuck off, fucking bastard by Mr Duffy, I said again shut her up now, he repeated again fuck off  fucking bastard. I was ready to call the environmental health but it went quiet. About 8.30pm it kicked off again, I thought oh no I have work tomorrow too. There was a lot of door slamming, then silence …….. I didn’t know what to expect, but it remained quiet.

I worked Sunday morning, had a bath when I got home and went to bed, Sunday was quiet, I don’t think the trolls were home

My friend Elaine was going to come to my home after she finished work but I was asked to work on reception in the afternoon, so she suggested she  meet me after work and we’d go have something to eat and a few drinks. I was very tired from my problem and working all day Friday but looked forward to the night out. We went for a chinese buffet, it was very nice and I loved the prawns afterwards we went for a drink in the Irish bar across the road from where we’d eaten. The bar was very busy, we stayed for a couple of drinks but then when it got 3 deep all around the bar I said let’s find somewhere else. We didn’t go far, the bar next door had a singer and karaoke on so we went in there. We stayed ’til about 12, I had to work the next morning, we rang a taxi and waited well over half an hour so rang another, my usual company, they came about 5 mins later. Elaine came back to mine to wait for her husband to pick her up, we had a drink while we waited so it was about 130 in the morning when I got to bed

I don’t know how but I got up for work, think I was still tipsy, had to talk myself through work but I achieved a lot and was glad when 12 o clock came. I went to bed for a sleep in the afternoon, I was going out again Saturday night to my friend Jeans 30th birthday party they were having for her daughter and surprise 60th for her husband  so needed to recharge my batteries. I woke up about 530, it was an effort and took me a while to come to but eventually dragged myself  out

The party was at the police club by the river, very nice, lovely views over the river. I arrived later than I wanted I had few hiccups then the taxi was late, said he didn’t know where I lived as it wasn’t on the sat nav, they all get it wrong. Jean was at the bar when I arrived she was pleased I’d made it, I sat with Jean,  Betty and her husband, Jeans brother and family and jeans neighbours. We had a nice hot buffet, chicken curry and a beef stew as well as a cold buffet, then profiteroles and gateau, yum   Usually Betty will get up and dance but she couldn’t this night but Jean and I had a good dance. It was a lovely partyand I really enjoyed myself. I think it was about 1am when we finished, unfortunately I was working again Sunday morning.

Again don’t know how but I made it into work, at least it was only 3hrs today.

This weekend, typical, not working and not out so cleaned my windows when I got in from work Friday, food shopping Saturday and easy day Sunday with some vodkas thrown in, well a girl has to have some nice things after working all week
