| July 28th, 2006 | Oasis Party |
After breakfast we booked to go to the oasis party that night then went to the pool, Hamada played water polo while i sunbathed. Hamada went to the mosque and we had a late lunch when he came back. After we had our lunch we had a couple of hours by the pool then went in to get ready the bus was taking us at 6pm so it was a quick one. When we arrived we were entertained first by some singing and dancing while the food was prepared. After dinner of salad, barbecued meats, friuts and sweets we watched Egyptian folk dancers, belly dancers and a whirling dirva. The show finished around 9pm so we went to Peanuts Bar when we got back to the resort. Posted in Holidays | No Comments »

| July 26th, 2006 | Cairo |
We arrived in Cairo about 6am very tired and made our way to the embassy, we arrived before 7am so had to wait ’til they opened at 8am. I had to wait outside whien Hamada went in, he was in there for about an hour, and will go back for an interview.
We reserved a coach back to El Gouna at 1:30, it was first class, beautiful, i couldn’t keep my eyes open and slept most of the journey back. We arrived back in time for dinner and relaxed after all the travelling.

| July 25th, 2006 | Travel To Cairo |
Another beautiful day, after breakfast we went to the laguna beach, sunbathing and swimming, it was very nice. After a late lunch we spent the rest of the afternoon at the pool ’til the sun went down and it was time to get ready for dinner. After dinner we had to get ready to take the overnight coach to Cairo, we arrived at the pick-up point 11:30pm, we thought the coach was due at 12:00 but it didn’t leave Hurghada ’til then so it was nearly 12:30 when it arrived. It takes about six hours travelling to get to Cairo and there’s always music or films playing so along with that and the discomfort there’s not much sleep much to sleep to be had. | July 24th, 2006 | Our Third Day / Filling In The Visa Application |
After we ate breakfast we went back to our room to go through the visa application then we got ready and i went for a sunbathe by the pool while Hamada played water polo. I enjoy swimming and believe me you need a dip to cool off. We went to the restaurant for a late lunch, it’s all buffet so you have plenty of choice and every day they have a different theme. After lunch Hamada left me at the beach while he went to make the coach reservation to Cairo. When he came back he told me we had reservations for the following night. I hate the night coach you never get to sleep properly, they always have filmsor music playing. After the beach we got some drinks to take back to the room, Hamada doesn’t drink alcohol so he only has sprite or coke, then got ready for dinner. Then it was onto Peanuts bar and the duo….. | July 23rd, 2006 | Our Second Day |
After we ate our breakfast we spent the morning at the lagoon, Hamada found an Egyptian women to talk to, she came from Paris and spoke french, she was on holiday with her daughter. We had our lunch at the beach bar but i wished we’d gone to the restaurant. After lunch we went to the pool, i wasn’t keen on the pool area i found it too noisy and hated having to listen to the same german nurdery rhymes but Hamada liked the pool games so we compromised. We had a late dinner then went to Peanuts Bar, the same duo were playing the same songs it was quiye funny really. Posted in Holidays | No Comments »

| July 22nd, 2006 | My First Day/Hamadas Arrival |
I woke in time for breakfast which was 7 ’til 10 in the main restaurant or ’til 10:30 in the Plaza restaurant. It always feels strange the first day finding your way around. After breakfast i went to sit by the pool, it was very hot, i sunbathed ’til it was time for lunch. I was on an all inclusive board basis so i had all my meals and drinks and boy did i need those drinks, it’s so hot i needed to be drinking all the time to stay hydrated. After my lunch i went for a wander around my surroundings, when i made the booking i didn’t know where i was staying or what it looked like so it was all a very nice surprise, i wasn’t just in a hotel it was a resort. I found the beach next to a lagoon, laguna beach, it was lovely. Hamada telephoned about 4pm to tell me he was on his way, i was on pins waiting for him to arrive. it was about 5pm when he arrived and i was so happy to see him, we checked in and got ready for dinner. After dinner we went to Peanuts Bar to have a drink and relax, they had a duo playing. they weren’t loud or obtrusive they just seemed to br there playing in the background which was nice. | July 21st, 2006 | My Return To Egypt |
I woke early this morning, about 6:30 and started to get myself ready, i was being picked up at 9:45 to be taken to Manchester airport. My taxi arrived on time, i had to be at the airport three hours before my flight so i had a wander around the duty free and treated myself to another bottle of perfume to add to my collection. I have the DKNY WOMEN and i like it very much so i bought the summer one which is very nice also. My flight at 1:55 was on time and we arrived at Hurghada airport at 21:45. My hotel was the last drop off so it was nearly midnight by the time i arrived, after i checked in and was taken to my room i unpacked, showered and fell into bed i was very tired after all this zzzzzzzzzz Posted in Holidays | No Comments »

| July 20th, 2006 | My Afternoon Out With David And Sarah/My Last Day At Work |
I went to meet my brother David and his girlfriend Sarah in town after work yesterday, it was another hot day. We had a drink in one of the bars, then moved on to another where we sat outside. It was a lovely day relaxing and chatting, Sarah and me shared a bottle of wine and David had beer. Then we went to a Chinese buffett restaurant, it was lovely and i enjoyed everything i tried. We went for one last drink before heading home, they had to get the train to Hooten then travel onto Great Sutton, they insisted i got a taxi which Sarah very kindly paid for. Today is my last day at work yippee! Tomorrow i am flying back to Egypt to see my husband Hamada and i can’t wait! We are staying in Hurghada this time, two weeks all inclusve. So i will write up my next posts when i am back, so until then cheery bye. |

| July 16th, 2006 | Another Hot One! |
Because i set my mind to it and got my shopping and jobs done over the last couple of days i am free to relax in the sun and read my book. I just wish the council would come and cut the grass, it would be so much nicer to sit out. Instead the grass and weeds are taller than me so i have to use the concrete paving to sit on my chair. | July 15th, 2006 | Change of Mind |
Well i changed my mind and decided i would go straight to town from work instead of going on Sunday. It was very hot and town was busy. I got my top sorted and picked up a few toiletries i needed to get. I was very tired by the time i got home at 18:45. I had my tea and a nice soak in the bath, as usual i fell asleep on the sofa. It was another sunny day so i got most of my washing done and hung out to dry, lovely no washing hanging round the flat. I went for my food shop about 1pm and got a taxi home, i couldn’t do with carrying heavy bags. After sorting my shopping i went and sat outside in our jungle, you can’t get anyone to come and cut the grass. Posted in General | No Comments »
