August 27th, 2006 Beatles Weekend

I woke around ten o clock had some cereal and put the water on to heat up for my bath. while i waited i tidied round my flat, that’s all i seem to do. I bathed and shampooed my hair, put my make-up on, decided on what i was wearing then went for the bus into town. I met my friend Kathy about four o clock she was with her partner and some friends, May and Gordon, who had come down from Scotland and her friendĀ  Jeanette and her daughter Hayley from Surrey so there was a good crowd of us. It was a nice day and we watched a couple of bands in the courtyard of one of the bars then moved on to the next bar. On the way May decided we should have a ride on the teacups, a childrens ride, i got on with them for a laugh and thinking we would just amble around after all that’s what childrens rides do, isn’t it ? Not so this time, we were spun round by my friend Kathy’s partner, her brother and the guy that operated the ride! Scream if you wanna go faster, ha, it was like being on a white knuckle ride they spun us so fast and hard i thought the teacup was going to take off. By the time which was like an eternity the ride stopped none of could focus the city was spinning haha, and my friend had wet herself.
We went on to the next bar and laughed about the ride and my friend wetting herself, next we went to the Big House they had a dj playing, we had a couple of rounds of drinks and a few dances then moved on to the next. At this time the lovely day had turned into teeming rain so we had to run like crazy to the next bar before we got soaked., only we couldn’t get in because it was full so we then had to go further afield to find my friends partner who had gone to another bar the other side of town, we weren’t pleased about that or with the choice of venue. we had one drink and moved on to the irish bar, they have a dj so we had a few drinks and a dance then got the last train back to my friends, i don’t know why but i was persuaded to stay the night at hers.
