Today i had to stay home because i was waiting on deliveries but i didn’t mind because it was all important stuff i had arranged to be delivered today, my shopping and my bank card. The morning post arrived at 9am with my birthday present from my friend Sue she sent it early so i would be there to recieve it. It was very nice, a glitzy handbag and some costume jewellery. My next delivery was my shopping between 2 and 4pm, i didn’t know what time my bank card would arrive, so i spent my day browsing through my catalogue choosing new clothes for the winter and watching tv. My shopping arrived about 2.30pm very prompt, i put that away and settled down to watch a film and waited for my card to arrive. I waited and i waited but it never arrived. | August 18th, 2006 | Rain Rain |
Well the end of another working week and i can’t say i’m not glad to see the back of it. Rain, rain and more rain and on top of that floods at work. When i was in Egypt i was told the UK would be having a heatwave in August and reaching temperatures of a 102f. Since i arrived home i think i have seen one nice day the rest of the time has been cold, grey or wet or all of the above. I know we need the rain but it could come during the night when i’m sleeping. Something i couldn’t wait to do when i arrived home from work, i couldn’t keep my eyes open. I was going to have a nap on the sofa but thought better of it and jumped into bed, bliss. Posted in General | No Comments »

| August 17th, 2006 | Ooer Thunder And Lightening |
Phew, arrived home from work just as the first bangs of thunder and lightening started, as i got in the rain came pouring down. I don’t like the thunder and lightening but i love watching the rain pouring down when i’m watching from the inside out. Because of the weather i couldn’t get a connection to speak to Hamada and i couldn’t use my laptop, my brother David told me it could blow up because i don’t have the necessary protection, i couldn’t get it switched off quick enough. Finally when the weather and atmosphere cleared up i was able to use the laptop and order my shopping, but it’s very late now and i know i will be tired in the morning. But .if the weather’s bad i wont have to be lugging bags of shopping around in it Posted in General | No Comments »

| August 12th, 2006 | My Weekend |
What a let down this weekend has been, my friend was supposed to come last night and didn’t turn up, but in my mind i know this, so i’m never too put out. I was going to my cousins today but she had to cancel because she was asked to work. It wouldn’t have been so bad but i put my nieces visit off ’til a later date to go there, so i think in future my motto should read , “don’t cancel what you already have planned for others”. | August 11th, 2006 | My First Week Back At Work |
Ugh Monday mornimg, i always dread going back to work, after one day i don’t feel like i’ve been away. As the weather wasn’t too bad today i sat out for an hour after work but it’s not Egypt. The weather the rest of the week has gradually got cooler and windier and every day i’ve wished more and more i was still in Egypt. I have also had to put up with the cold i picked up in Egypt, i know a cold while on holiday in Egypt i couldn’t believe it. On Wednesday i did my first internet shopping for my food, it was delivered today, brilliant no trudging round the shops tomorrow, i will certainly be doing it again. | August 6th, 2006 | Sunday |
I was woken early by Hamada telephoning, seemed he hadn’t realised it was so early but anyway no matter except for my brother coming down to tell me to be quiet, mish mumken ( impossible). David and Sarah went to do a food shop and picked some essentials up for me too, so i busied myself and texted everyone that i was home. We had a late breakfast when they got back, Sarah wasn’t too good so only had scrambled eggs, David and me had poached eggs and bacon which i would have enjoyed had he not overcooked my bacon. Then i had a play on my laptop and i was tap tapping away but they didn’t know what i was doing, haha. Sarah made a nice dinner for us, cauliflower cheese, roast potatoes/parsnips, fennel, asparagus and chicken pasty, as usual i was well stuffed. By the time we finished it was 8 o clock and David had to take me home. Posted in General | No Comments »

| August 5th, 2006 | BBQ at David and Sarahs |
I woke about 11:30 and continued with my washing, the clothes i’d put in when i arrived home were done so i could get the rest done. I hate this job, i leave the place in reasonable order before i go away and then half an hour of being home it looks like a tornado took a short cut through it My brother David invited me to come for a bbq when i got back. When i telephoned he said he’d come about 3pm, my modem had arrived for my internet connection so he was going to set it up for me then take me to his house, the bbq was being done for 5pm. His mate Paul was there and his daughter Paige and niece Katy, so i was complimented on everything from my phone to the charms on it and my handbag. We had burgers, hotdogs, chicken and salad, i was well stuffed. We had some drinks, i brought myself some vodka and the cocktail of vodka, sprite and grenadine the waiters made up for me before i left, lovely. |

| August 4th, 2006 | My Last Day / Going Home |
Today is my last day and i will miss everything, the sun, the swimming, the waiters who are so nice and look after you so well but most of all i will miss my husband, that goes without saying. As i wasn’t leaving ’til the evening i kept my room on. The day was spent as usual, eating, drinking, sunbathing and swimming. My coach arrived at 7:45pm to take me to Hurghada airport, my flight was at 11pm. We had to be at the airport three hours before, it seems like a long time but the time passes very quickly. The flight was on time and without any problems in fact we landed at Manchester airport early so i had to wait a little for my pick-up back home to Liverpool. Iarrived home about 4:15am, i always feel very strange when i first get back. After i unpacked some of my things and put some clothes into the washing machine i fell into bed around 5:30am zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Posted in Holidays | No Comments »
