Hello everyone, especially Sarah! Sorry it’s been a while since i wrote a post, so to update on what’s been happening for me; My husband Hamada had his interview at the British Embassy in Cairo on the 23rd August for his visa to come live with me here in England, he said he thought the interview went well and without any problems and that they would let him know the decision in ten days, i was on pins those next days wondering what the outcome would be. I telephoned Hamada every day and he told me on the Friday, 1st September he had been given the visa. I couldn’t believe it, we were going to be together, no more wondering when the next time we could see each other would be, i was ecstatic. Hamada gave me the web address of a flight company, I made the reservation for Hamadas flight on the 5th Sept, so now i was even more ecstatic knowing he was coming and would be arriving on the 10th September. My sister Ruth had texed me she had swapped her shifts at work and so would be able to take me to the airport. I only had a few days to wait and between working and preparing my flat the time passed quickly and Saturday arrived before i knew it. Ruth came about 5pm for me, her husband Doug was preparing our dinner, spaghetti bolognese, i laughed because i’d had it the night before. After dinner we watched X Factor and Doug and me had a few vodkas. We left about 11.30 to go to Manchester Airport, i was so happy and i was pleased because Ruth and Doug had given up their time for us. When we arrived Ruth and me needed the ladies. when we came out Hamada had already arrived and was talking to Doug. I can’t explain the emotions running through me at that time. We went for coffee at Ruths works cafe/shop then they drove us home. Posted in General | No Comments »

| September 3rd, 2006 | The Day After |
Considering we didn’t get to bed ’til about 3am most of the family were up about 9am doh, so no lie in. We had breakfast and cleaned up after the night before, i felt about as lively as a wet lettuce. There was plenty of food left to make another barbeque so that’s just what Rose did, and it was even better because it was all adult food, Roses brother and his wife came and some friends, we had steaks, chicken piri piri, kebebs it was delicious. I was stuffed to burst after all the meat. We had a few drinks then Ian brought me home about 8pm. Posted in General | No Comments »

| September 2nd, 2006 | My Cousins Birthdays |
Today i am going to my cousins it is his wife Rose’s birthday on Monday and their twin boys birthday today so they are having a barbeque. Ian came for me about 3.30pm he said it was crazy at home so he didn’t want to leave straight away so i made tea, i didn’t mind it gave me more time to get ready. We arrived about 5.30pm, Roses eldest son Mark was there with his wife Vicky and her cousin Jane and husband Paul with their young son Josh. So we all lent a hand with the final preparations, Rose had done the most part of everything, marinading kebabs and steaks, i don’t know how she does it but it always tastes delicious. The other guests started arriving about 7pm, some of them i knew because i’d met them before at other celebrations. It was a great evening and luckily the rain kept off.
