I booked my flights with easy jet, i was very nervous as i had never flown with them before , i’d watched the airline programmes and did not want to be one of those who missed their flight or there were any flight delays or other unforseen problems. As it happened there weren’t any problems, everything went according to plan and scheduled on time. When i arrived in Krakow i was amazed how hot it was, my taxi transfer was waiting to take me to my accommodation. After checking in i had to go straight to the dental clinic for my appointment. Doctor Arthur, the dentist took some x rays then examined me, after which he said ok i’m going to operate now :o I was shocked as i thought maybe the next day but at least it was done and over with with no time to think about it. He said i was very brave but i just felt like crying. He took me to the chemist and got me some antibiotics and pain killers then took me to my accommodation. In the night there was a thunder and lightening storm i thought it may have kept me awake but i was so tired and had that cry then slept ’til the next morning. My Friday was the same, i went the dentist in the afternoon for a check up then back to my room, i just got back before a heavy down pour, i’d have gotten drenched had i been a few minutes later. I tried to read for a while but the tiredness took over again and i slept for a few hours. On Saturday i went to see the dentist in the morning, then slept during the afternoon. Doctor Arthur had said i could have a drink on the Friday but there weren’t any bars nearby so i bought a bottle of vodka to have a drink in my room. There was two computers in the office so i passed my time on there. On Sunday i had a free day so had a bit of a walkabout, in hindsight i should’ve got a taxi to the square as there wasn’t anything around where i was staying. In the evening i was asked would i move out my room and transfer to one of the apartments, when they showed me on the computer i was like get me moved yesterday!! So Monday morning i moved into the apartment, it was fabulous, lounge/kitchen/diner, seperate bedroom, lovely bathroom. The guys kept asking was i ok and happy with everything, i said i wished i could’ve moved sooner i was only sorry i didn’t have more time there to chill out and relax in it. I went to see the dentist in the afternoon, the younger guy probably his understudy re did one of my root canals for me and took my top stitches out. On Tuesday it was my last full day there i wasn’t going to the dentist ’til 8pm so thought i’d walk to the square, they said it was only 15 mins walk. i was walking half hour i still didn’t find it, just walked myself into the ground, returned tired, hot and bothered. I went to see the dentist for my final check up then did most of my packing when i got back. Wednesday my final day, was quite sad really, i’d had a quiet relaxing time away from my problems at home so i wasn’t looking forward to returning. I had to be out my room by 11am, i went for a walk then had my first hot decent meal at the chinese restaurant next to my accommodation. When i got back my taxi transfer was waiting to take me the airport. Everything went ok no problems with the flight and i arrived home safely about 8pm. At about 11:30pm i was subjected to a door slamming session from the tenants below, back to my nightmare. Posted in General | No Comments »
