On Saturday i was working 8-4pm we’d been asked to go in to scrub and lay polish on the floors. I was very tired by the time we finished and i went to bed at 530pm and slept until 9pm. I got up and watched some tv for a while but i was still very tired. I was kept awake ’til 130am and disturbed through the night by the tenants below me flushing the toilet, cranking the taps and opening and closing cupboards all through the night.

I was working again Sunday, i wouldn’t normally work the weekend i usually use it to recuperate, but as my friend said it’ll make up for the overtime i lose when i take my holidays. We worked 8-3pm, i was glad when it finished.

My Sunday night was hell, they came in and started arguing 1130pm, again i was disturbed by them flushing the toilet all through the night, cranking the taps, shouting and banging/slamming doors and thudding noises. I think i had maybe 2 hours sleep, they were still at it when i got up Mornday morning at 6am and left for work at 630!!! I was so angry and so upset, i can’t cope and live or function with no sleep!!

During the morning i called the housing officer and told him how it had been all weekend, i broke down, told him they’re making my life a misery. I told him i’m under the doctor now and on anti depressants because i’m crying all the time i feel so miserable and don’t want to live this life any more. I’ve been nearly 20 years coping with my medical condition and all this is making it more difficult and my life intolerable. He said he was having a meeting with them at 3pm and would call me and let me know the outcome, which he did.

He said Mr Duffy, (she didn’t go) accepted there was some noise issue, Mr Duffy admitted to having 2 previous warnings!! He was told environmental health are involved and if any prosecution was brought against them they’d be evicted as they’d be in breach of their tenancy agreement. Mr Duffy said there wouldn’t be a problem in the future as she wouldn’t be there, he’d be there on his own, i was thrilled about this, unfortunately it was an outright lie as she’s never not been there! So we will see but i’m not holding breath.
