| November 29th, 2008 | My Sister Hazels 50th Birthday Party |
It was my weekend in with Maureen so I was working in the morning time ’til 10am unfortunately so I couldn’t have a sleep in. When I got home I had my bath and packed my bag ready as I was staying at my brother Davids and Sarahs. I was ready just after 1pm and made the 20 minute or so walk to the train station, I didn’t have long to wait for the train. I had to change trains at Liverpool Central to go to Birkenhead and lucky again for me my train arrived as I got to the bottom of the escalator. I arrived just after 2pm and waited for David to come and get me, he thought I wasn’t leaving my home ’til 2pm, David arrived soon after by taxi, I was so glad it wasn’t a cold day. We had bacon and egg on toast then I had a sleep I didn’t think I’d go off as David had the tv on but I put some cotton wool in my ears and went out like a light. We had some tuna melts then I had a bath and got ready about 6:30pm as we going to the party at 7:30pm. I’d bought a new dress, coloured tights to match and a gorgeous pair of killer heels I couldn’t wait to wear. We had a few drinks I thought I may have a problem in my heels but I was ok and I could dance in them, I felt quite tall but was still no match for my sisters or nieces. It was also very nice to see my mums friends and neighbours, Vi whom she worked with I recognised instantly, except for having lost weight she hadn’t really changed that much and Lyn and Dave, it took a minute to realise but it was really nice to see them again. I also made a couple of new friends, Debbie and Helen, they liked my shoes and came over to tell me which I thought was really nice and was ecstatic about. I had a lot to drink, talked, laughed and danced a lot and I think a good time was had by all Posted in General | No Comments »

| November 22nd, 2008 | Update & Additions To My Holiday In Lanzarote |
Here is an addition to my holiday in Lanzarote post, because of problems I was having with my internet connection I was unable to make any posts, every time I tried to write or do anything my internet crashed. This was very frustrating, I would be writing something or try to post something I had written and poof gone nothing, aaaaaaaaargh, so I gave up. I contacted virgin about this they came back with a lot of gobbledegook I didn’t understand. They upgraded my service and that was when my problems seemed to start. I thought it was a problem with my modem but after speaking with my brother it seemed the problem was down to the fact my broadband had been upgraded and my system needed to be upgraded too, so thanks to my brother everything has been okay since. So my holday in Lanzarote except for some days I was unwell was vey enjoyable, I spent my days tanning and melting by the pool, my evenings being entertained by the various shows. After a couple of days sleepless nights though I had to request a change of room as I was woken and couldn’t get back to sleep because of the noise of the traffic during the night. I moved to one of the apartments across the road from the hotel side, I was very happy there, reminded me a little of my own flat except with hot sun and no nasty neighbours disturbing me. I loved it, relaxing there with a drink after sunbathing through the day before going out in the evening, During the first evening of my second week I met a lovely couple PaulĀ and Michelle from Cardiff, they were great and we spent the days sunbathing by the pool, eating and drinking. A couple of evenings we went out after the shows finished and had some drinks in the bars, ha I walked better in my heels than I did during the day in my flats, probably because the vodka took the fear of the steepness of the roads away We only found the beach the last couple of days before going home, oh how I wished I had found it sooner, fabulous and so relaxing, a lovely breeze so no melting and to be able to swim in the ocean fantastic, it also sealed my tan. Now we had found the beach I didn’t want to go home, it’s paradise for me. We had a late night the last night, it wasn’t planned and I don’t know how I got up but I did. I had to be up about 6 if I remember correctly. my transfer was on time and my flight and everything went smoothly. I arrived John Lennon Airport and it was teeming with rain, what a surprise!! | November 9th, 2008 | Christmas Shopping |
I woke about 6am but turned over and went back to sleep a while longer, a few hours longer in fact, I eventually got up about 10:30 and decided that i would get myself ready and go into town. I had my niece Nicolas Christmas present left to buy and i needed a gift bag for my sister Hazels birthday present, she’s having a party next week and I wanted some coloured tights to go with the dress I’d bought too. I left home about 1:30pm and was pleased a bus came as I got to the bus stop, that’s lucky for me on a week day but on a Sunday almost unheard of. I got off the bus at Lewis’s and decided I would pass through the store, fatal decision that was. I got the coloured tights I wanted and was bedazzled by all the christmas baubles, gorgeous, I couldn’t resist. I don’t have a christmas tree now, I want one as I got rid of mine, now I will have to get one for my new decorations After that I went to Boots to spend my vouchers, got Hazels gift bag and Nicolas presents, then made my way for the bus home. It was pouring with rain but I didn’t care I had got my shopping and was going home, another nice surprise, I was home by 5pm. Then I did my dinner, ordered my brother David and his girl friend Sarahs presents on line had a nice bath and relaxed with a vodka and lemonade feeling really pleased with myself. |

| November 8th, 2008 | My Week 1st -8th November |
I was working Saturday and Sunday morning 7-10am, didn’t want to, I so needed the sleep but need the money too with Christmas coming and other things. After work on Saturday it was quite a nice day so I decided I would take advantage of that and the fact I was up and make a start on my christmas shopping, but not into town, I hate town on Saturdays far too busy. I went to Hunts Cross Retail Park to have a look in Matalan, with great success I got most of my presents. I was very happy until i got to the till to pay, they had no bags, I was disgusted she put everything into a great see through clear cellophane sack, I said I have to get on the bus with that everyone can see what I’ve got, in fact I look like I’ve been to the launderette!!! She apologised, said that’s all I’ve got, I said not good enough put it into smaller bags that’s ridiculous and not on. I wasn’t happy and had to use the carrier bags I had brought to put my food shopping in. Then I went around Asda to pick up some grocery shopping, I had to be careful I didn’t get too carried away and buy too much for me to carry. I just missed a bus to go home but in a way was glad, except for the wait as the next bus due stopped outside my flat, so I didn’t have to walk up the lane with all my bags, phew. On Thursday my supervisor was going into town so I took advantage of the offer of a lift, I had some payments to make and also took the opportunity to get some more christmas presents. I went to the card shop and got all my special cards and cards for others then went to my favourite shop Jane Norman to have a look in there. I wanted to see did they have anything for me to wear at my sisters party and for our works christmas party, I was successful on both counts, |
