November 8th, 2008 My Week 1st -8th November

I was working Saturday and Sunday morning 7-10am, didn’t want to, I so needed the sleep but need the money too with Christmas coming and other things. After work on Saturday it was quite a nice day so I decided I would take advantage of that and the fact I was up and make a start on my christmas shopping, but not into town, I hate town on Saturdays far too busy. I went to Hunts Cross Retail Park to have a look in Matalan, with great success I got most of my presents. I was very happy until i got to the till to pay, they had no bags, I was disgusted she put everything into a great see through clear cellophane sack, I said I have to get on the bus with that everyone can see what I’ve got, in fact I look like I’ve been to the launderette!!! She apologised, said that’s all I’ve got, I said not good enough put it into smaller bags that’s ridiculous and not on. I wasn’t happy and had to use the carrier bags I had brought to put my food shopping in. Then I went around Asda to pick up some grocery shopping, I had to be careful I didn’t get too carried away and buy too much for me to carry. I just missed a bus to go home but in a way was glad, except for the wait as the next bus due stopped outside my flat, so I didn’t have to walk up the lane with all my bags, phew.

On Thursday my supervisor was going into town so I took advantage of the offer of a lift, I had some payments to make and also took the opportunity to get some more christmas presents. I went to the card shop and got all my special cards and cards for others then went to my favourite shop Jane Norman to have a look in there. I wanted to see did they have anything for me to wear at my sisters party and for our works christmas party, I was successful on both counts, :) Then I went to have a look in Boots for my friends gifts, it was very confusing and trying to make I sure I hadn’t forgotten anyone, but I eventually got there and even bought some birthday presents so I wouldn’t have to rack my brains after the Christmas. I got home around 7pm,I had forgotten about late night shopping, apparently it was the first nights late opening but I had had enough and couldn’t carry anymore anyway.
