Thursday 23rd July, I was disturbed at 12.30am by what sounded like the bins being thrown about, then I heard raised voices. I went outside my flat to see what was going on, it was them, I shouted down to shut up, I’m sick of your carryings on. I was told by Mr Duffy to fuck off and mind my own business, I said I wont it is my business you’re affecting my home life, my peace and making my life hell living here. She ran up the stairs to me, sorry, sorry, it’s him, I said why don’t you go home, why do you keep coming back. I was then subjected to a barrage of abuse, she ran up the rest of the stairs, I thought she was going to run into my flat but she sat at the top, moaning and wailing, I’m sorry, I said your apologies mean nothing to me, you apologised in February but you still carry on. Mr Duffy continued to threaten and abuse me, I was called everything, a fuckin cunt, fuckin twat, fuckin bastard, fuckin slag, fuckin lesbian. I shouted I was calling the police, I’m not here to be threatened and abused. She begged me not to, please retract it and then ran down to him, Frank, Frank she’s called the police, Frank stop it you’ll get arrested. He just said fuck her the fuckin cunt and continued his abuse.

The police operator told me not to speak to him to talk to her, the police were on their way but she didn’t know how long it would take them. Then Mr Petitt, a neighbour from the  flats at the back of us ran upstairs, I’m so sorry Heather, I shut the door and went to write the numbers the operator had given me down.

They were still shouting, he’d lost his keys so they couldn’t get in the flat, I rang the police again as the abuse was continuing and I was starting to get scared, she said they’d been, I said well he’s still shouting abuse in the street. Mr Duffy had to break into his flat, the operator said she send the police back out if it didn’t stop. Eventually it did, I had to get up for work the next morning after another night only getting a few hours sleep.
