May 21st, 2011 Hello Everyone!!!! xx

Omgsh, I’m in shock, I didn’t realise I hadn’t posted in so long. So now I’ll try and catch up on some of what’s been happening in my life, which looking back isn’t a great deal.

January; except for a very nice meal out with some friends, came and went as did February. However, I have been enjoying the company of my nieces, they’ve been visiting almost every week which has been lovely, having lunch and watching dvd’s, we’ve watched some really good films, which I’ve really enjoyed. I also saw my nephew for first time since Christmas, ahhh he’s so small and lovely, I was so happy to see him.

April; Monday 4th, I saw Neurologist, Tuesday 5th I started my physiotherapy for my shoulder impingement.Wednesday 6th I also saw my consultant Prof Fraser, now I’m not in work because of the problems I’m having he is referring me to the chronic fatigue syndrome team. I feel a sense of relief but also dread, I was hoping my problems were because of something else, something curable of course. Wednesday evening my sister Ruth came, we went for a meal at the nearby Indian Restaurant. I love it when she comes, it’s nice to get dolled up and we always have a good laugh and gossip.

The 11th I started my tinnitus therapy, my therapist ordered me a ear piece to wear so I’m hopeful, though it will take 6-18 months, the fact I’m now getting some help fills me with hope, after being told years ago I had to live with it.

The next week the weather was lovely, warm and sunny. Wednesday 20th was my friend Lynn’s birthday, so a few of us went the Harvester for a meal, it had been a lovely day and the sun was still shining so we sat outside ’til a table was free for us. We had a nice meal, free salad buffet which is a meal on it’s own then Lynn and I had the mixed grill, yummy but very filling, I couldn’t finish it. Thursday evening my sister Ruth came and we went for a meal at the Indian Restaurant, I can’t eat anything too hot, I had a tandoori chicken and korma sauce, Ruth has meat free dishes as she’s a vegetarian. I was enjoying it ’til some very loud customers came in, you know the kind that like the sound of their own voices, that think everyone’s interested in what they’re talking about. I couldn’t hear myself think let alone what Ruth was saying to me. We asked to move, which we did but then had the owner glaring at us, which made us feel very uncomfortable.

Friday 22nd was Good Friday, my nieces invited me for a meal at the Red Hot Buffet Restaurant, I had some salad then some chicken korma and dessert, all very nice and I was so full after.  That was a lovely week, good weather, good food and most of all good friends and family :D

The next week the duck had returned, this year I counted 16 babies, wow!! They’re gorgeous, so cute, there’s 14 now to date, I hope they survive. The mother’s brilliant I hope she can protect them against next doors cat.
