On Thursday i went to meet my friend Elaine for drinks with her friends from the physio, they’re all in frames from breakages or just had them removed. I eventually arrived about 430pm, i wanted to pick some last minute things up on the way there, after being nearly knocked on my butt three times no way was i going back in to the city.

Elaine was really pleased to see me and her friends were really nice and welcoming too, we had a great afternoon and night, i usually drink doubles but her friend Kevin was getting me trebles.

We got a taxi home to mine i think it must have been about 1am then Elaine phoned for her husband to come and get her. I don’t know how i managed to get up for work the next day, but it’s a good job it was the last day that’s all i can say. Also we were only there an hour and half and i went promptly back to bed when i got back home

I was very tired so when i got home after work so i went to bed for a couple of hours. When i woke i had a nice soak in the bath, i’d bought myself some christmas bath bombs so my water was lovely and soft and full of stars and glitter, I’d also bought some new makeup for the christmas too, i thought it was black eyeshadow but it was more like a charcoal, very sultry all the same and a change from my usual brown i’d worn forever and it went very nice with my new top and shorts.

I met the girls from work in one of the bars in town we had a couple of drinks there before we went to the party which was in the Adelphi Hotel where it’s been held every year now. They put a nice party on for us and we get 3 free drinks, raffle tickets, which i’m yet to win anything, but hey ho.

When we went in to sit at our table i was greeted by Bernie our union rep, he gave me a bottle of southern comfort to have a drink, he also brought the bottle back to the table later. After the buffet which is always really nice we had the raffle, this year all but two won on our table, another and me

Afterwards we had lots of dancing to the disco, i mostly danced with my friend Maureen or Sheila. We were also given more drinks vouchers, there was a lot not  turned up because of illness.

The music finished   about 1am, we were lucky getting home because Eileens son drives a taxi,

So all in all it was a lovely night, but oh i suffered the next day, so i just cabbaged all day on the sofa

I got up about 10 to get ready, have my bath etc and travel to my brother David and Sarahs house, they were taking me with them to Huddersfield. We were staying at the Premier Inn, we got there about 530pm and i have to say it was lovely, i loved my room. I had a coffee and a nice soak in the bath then got ready for the party. I met David and Sarah downstairs and we got a taxi to my cousin Fred and Brendas house. They have a fabulous home in it’s own grounds, when we got there we were greeted by Fred and given champagne, wine or beer, it was waitress service and they had a jazz band. My cousin Wendy her husband Peter, John and his wife were there too so it was nice to see them again. Fred and their sons Andrew and Chris all gave nice speeches and Brenda thanked everyone. We had a great night, eating, drinking, chatting, dancing, i did lots of dancing, i really enjoyed myself. I think it was about 3am when we left to go back to the hotel.

Sunday; I woke about 10am, feeling a bit ugh, i could’ve stayed in the bed all day. David telephoned about 11am, i had a nice bath and got ready to leave aqnd be out the room for 12. David and Sarah brought me home, i went back to bed for an hour or so and then just relaxed on the sofa for the rest of the day.

I met my family, Hazel and Chris, Ruth and David in the city centre, to go to Malton in N Yorks. It was a nice drive and Malton was lovely. The funeral was very sad but very nice and i learnt things about my cousin i hadn’t realised about her, like her political life her total nvolvement in the community and her charity work, what an amazing woman. Afterwards we went to the parish centre for some refreshments, they couldn’t get a booking for anywhere else so unfortunately there was no after party send off for her. It was nice seeing my other cousins again, but would be nicer at another occasion other than funerals.

Sorry i haven’t done a post since i came home, but i haven’t done very much, i had a week off work when i came back because of the infection in my leg, it was agony and throbbing all the time. I went to my doctor the same day i arrived home and got some antibiotics but it was a week before the swelling went down and the throbbing stopped, only now has it just about healed and is looking better.

I went back to work on the 22nd October, i wasn’t looking forward to it but it was ok better than i expected.

I went out on the Saturday after with my friend and a few other friends, nothing exciting it’s always the same, the same pubs. There was six of us started out and by the end of the night there was only three of us, i wouldn’t go out on my own with them, imagine turning round and finding yourself in the bar alone, no thanks. I haven’t been out since or wanted to, i’d rather have a drink at home and want to save my money.

A friend of a friend rang me on Thursday to go out on Saturday but i said i didn’t know i was at work and couldn’t talk, she said she’d phone back but it was late when she did and i was tired and ready for bed so i didn’t answer. Also i thought well i haven’t heard from anyone for about three weeks, they only call when they want to go out. So she rang and rang the next day while i was in work again !! In the end i had to text and say i’m working, i’m sorry but i wont be going out, i’m too tired and want to save my money to go away. So after the events and stress of last week i’ve stayed home alone.

I didn’t go out on the Saturday, it was the Mathew Street festival, first time i haven’t been in a few years, i could have gone out with my friends on the Sunday, i wish i had, but  a friend from Birkenhead had asked me to go to a bbq she had been invited to. I got to my friends about three o clock, problems with the trains made my journey take longer, we had a coffee then got to the bbq about four o clock. I felt a bit awkward at first as i didn’t know anyone, but we sat with a couple of women and i soon got chatting and after a couple of vodkas relaxed. I think it was about half past nine when my friends husband came to pick us up, she said for me to stay but i said no i’ll go home with you. Everything was fine as i thought, when we got to her house she took me to sit in the conservatory, she poured me a vodka from the bottle she bought me, then as soon as i sat down she let me have it, firing insults and damning questions at me about how i live and who i see. So i let her have it too, bringing me all the way over there to do that, if she had a problem with me and didn’t like my lifestyle she shouldn’t have invited me, not that it’s got anything to do with her. I had already told her in previous telephone calls i had had enough of people telling me who i should be with and how to live my life. Some people are so smug about their life, and have short memories, they think because they’re part of a couple or family unit they’re above me, her included, needless to say she is no longer my friend and wont be missed.

Because of what happened i went and stayed the night at my  sister Hazels, they were at a bbq too, i came home with my niece, we got a lift, the others had to wait for a taxi. We had a good chat when we got home about what had happened and other things, she’s of the same mind as me.

On Monday we didn’t do anything, they’ve just got back from holiday and still tidying up, ugh i know that too well. We went for a pub meal about five o clock, that was nice, i had soup to start and the salmon in lemon butter, Hazel and Chris had chicken, Asleigh had a veggie korma and Nicola had pizza. We came back about half past seven, Hazel and Chris were going to the pub quiz later, they dropped me off at the train station on their way.

During the evening i recieved a text asking was this my number, it turned out to be an ex boyfriend from three maybe four years ago, ha blooming cheek. It started off just friendly but then the cheeky texts started, i don’t know who he thinks he is but i ignored those, he wanted to meet up but i told him i hadn’t forgotten why we broke up. I should have told him he was one of the worst and meanest boyfriends ever and he was another one i was well rid of. Eventually after a couple of days pleading he gave up, said he was going to try and make the relationship he was in work, he must have thought i was going to drop everything and welcome him back with open arms. Well he got his eye wiped too.

I had some holidays left to take so i had the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday off work, also being the bank holiday weekend it meant i was off until the following Tuesday, so i had a really nice break. On the Tuesday my friends at work had put £50 in a card, which i wasn’t expecting, i wanted to cry. Maureen and Sheila also got me chocolates and a litre bottle of vodka and cards

I went to town on the Wednesday to see what i could buy with the money, it was a nice sunny day, but i couldn’t make my mind up. I’d wanted some diamante hoops, and a cardigan, i wanted a long sleeved one for the cooler nights to wear with my tops but i didn’t find any i liked. I got my hoops and a cropped cardigan to wear with the mint coloured top i was going to be wearing to go out the next night from my favourite shop, Jane Norman. While i was looking around i had a chat with my sister about coming over to go out with us, it was the first time since the break-up of my marriage, so i was happy we were getting back on friendly terms again. Then he texted me happy birthday my darling wife from your husband hamada i was so angry and it made me feel sick all over again, i sent him a message back, then called and told him in no uncertain terms was i his wife or he my husband, but he’s so ignorant and arrogant of me, i was so angry i was shaking after. It took a while but eventually i calmed down, my brother goes mad with me for responding, i try not to but sometimes i find it difficult.

On Thursday we had my night out, my sister Ruth came over about 7.30 we had a drink and finished getting ready, then got a taxi, i’d arranged to meet Maureen and Sheila from work, my friend Ann and her friend Sheila in the New York bar in Allerton road. They were getting there about 8pm but i knew we’d be later because Ruth was working and had to travel, my friend Jean from work arrived just after us, i didn’t know she was coming, i’d texted her but she didn’t reply, so that was a nice surprise. We had a couple of drinks in the New York then went over the road to another bar, they had a singer on, it was very expensive in there, we had a nice night and everyone enjoyed themselves, and i was happy everyone mixed. The girls from work left us about 12, because they had to get up for work, we got a taxi into town, we went to Flares in Mathew Street. We had a great time and danced all night. Ruth and me got a taxi home, i don’t remember getting into bed.

Ruth had us up just after nine o clock the next morning, ugh i don’t know how or why she was up that early, especially as how she said we didn’t get in until 4am. We had some bacon and egg then Ruth left about eleven o clock to go swimming ugh i never moved all day, i wasn’t fit to. I went back to bed about two o clock for a couple of hours but i still felt ill and out of it, i wasn’t the only one either, my friend Ann texted me she enjoyed herself but was suffering today. It was the next day before i felt human again, but a good time was had by all

Well, I think i have finally caught up and i am now up to date with all my news. So i hope you enjoyed reading about my holiday and continue to enjoy reading about me, my past, present and future.

Well apart from the weather which has been wet and dreary again and work which has been aaaaaaaaaaaaagh get me out a here, i have had a fairly quiet but nice week. On Tuesday i had an appointment in the city centre so after that i had a browse around some of the shops. I went into one of my favourite shops, Jane Norman, they still had a massive sale on and picked up some bargains. I was well pleased, i got a gorgeous baby doll top, pedal pusher jeans and shorts all for £24 !!!! All ready to go for my next holiday

On Wednesday i went hairdressing to my old lady friends, it does not take me long, a quick blow dry and set. but i am always there for a couple of hours as she makes my dinner, usually fish and potato croquettes and we have a chat and gripe about day to day events.

My brother telephoned me to see was i doing any thing on Friday, they were coming to take pictures, i did not know what that was about i thought maybe he had a new project to do. and then go for a Chinese buffett.
On Thursday i had a quiet afternoon at home, sometimes it is nice to just come home from work and do nothing and go nowhere.

Yesterday i came home after work to change and get ready to meet my brother David and his girlfriend Sarah. I met them at the Albert Dock just after four o clock, we had a coffee then went around the dock so that David could take pictures. He had bought a new professional camera, this is his new hobby. Afterwards we went to Yums for our Chinese buffett, it was very nice but i was disappointed that the prawns were too peppery for me to eat, my tongue was on fire, David said they did that so i would not eat them all They gave me my birthday present, well half of it, the other half is a photograph David has taken and had printed, they got a frame but it was too small so they are going to get another, so i look forward to seeing that. We left about seven o clock because they had to go somewhere else, but he would not tell me where hmmmm the cheek of him I got home about eight o clock and then just chilled with a vodka and watched some tv

Last weekend i went to my friend Elaines, she lives with her family in Widnes. I have not seen her in over twelve months, because of work being done on the house, though we talk on the telephone and text each other. Her and her husband Jerry came to pick me up about 5:30pm.

Elaine had got a box of rose wine for us and we shared a takeaway supper of spanish omelette and chicken fried rice. Yes i know, strange combination. We drank the box of wine and opened a bottle of wine, but it was now about 1am and i was so tired i was finding it difficult to stay awake, so we called it a night.

I woke early the next morning, but i did not get up right away. It was about 10:30 when i did. We had bacon and egg on barm cakes, but it was too much and i could not eat it all. It had rained in the morning then went nice in the afternoon so we sat outside for a couple of hours, then they took me home about five o clock.
