Nasty Neighbours

On Monday i called the woman from the housing again as i hadn’t heard from her, she said she’d call after the meeting with the neighbours. She said she was going to call me that day, she said they didn’t turn up for the meeting and she hadn’t been in the end of the week. I told her about the door slamming on Saturday night, she said maybe its a last defiance after receipt of letter from the environmental health, i said whether or not it’s a good job i don’t have heart problems or you’d have a heart attack victim on your hands. She said that she’d also be sending them a warning letter.

On Wednesday the contractors after many days trying and some not turning up for various reasons finally got the horrible rusty bars out my airing cupboard.

On Thursday i went to my friend Winnie to do her hair, i did some shopping on the way home and then when i got home painted inside my cupboard again. Now that’s done and no more workmen i can start getting my place clean again. Again 11:30 - 12am i was subjected to all the doors being banged by the neighbours below.

My Weekend

My friend Lyn phoned me, she had arranged to come see me, she asked did i want to go out to Damiens for my tea, which was very nice of her. We had the ribs, i can’t rememeber the flavour, so if anyone. can but not the ones in barbecue sauce, with jacket potato and salad, then i had ice cream. It was very nice, we didn’t stay out after, we just had the meal and a chat to catch up then Lyn brought me home again.

On Saturday i had a good sleep no disturbance from the tenants below. I was glad i’d had a good sleep, i really needed it i get so tired and them disturbing me aggravates it. I did a bit more cleaning up then got myself ready, i was going to Birkenhead, i was meeting my sister Hazel and her family for a pub meal, my niece Ashleigh was going to America the next day to work for 3 months. It was a beautiful sunny day, too nice to be travelling on public transport, i arrived at 4pm as asked but i needn’t have worried about being late, everyone sat outside in the sun for about an hour or more. I sat with Ruth and Doug for the meal, we had the carvery, but Ruth and Doug didn’t have any meat as they no longer eat it After our meal we went back outside, Ruth and Doug didn’t want to sit in the sun so i went on my own until Hazel called me over, after which i got chatting with Chris’s mum, aunts and his cousin and wife. They left about 7pm or there after so i went and chatted with Hazel and a couple of her friends, we had a blast and quite a bit to drink, Ruth and Doug left about 8pm, it was about 10pm when i left, i think. It was a very nice day, very enjoyable.

I got home around 11pm, i made good connections, thankfully, i hate being on public transport or hanging around waiting for it especially after having a drink. Unfortunately for me the gruesome twosome below were home, i was subjected to guitar playing and wailing then a door slamming session, the last one being 12:06am, it was done with such force and gave me such a fright had i had heart problems would’ve been the victim of a heart attack.

Central Heating!!

On Thursday they came to install my central heating and hot water yippee!! I had a father and son team doing mine, they arrived on time just before 8am as arranged. I was as ready as i could be, it had been a nightmare emptying cupboards and trying to conjure up storage space to put everything out of the way. I don’t know how you’re supposed to do that when you the very places you keep everything have to be emptied. They were very good and very obliging, they covered my carpets with plastic then the dust sheets so there was no mess left there, except the brick dust that was awful, i felt like i was smothered in it. They finished about 4pm, later than they said, probably all the chatting. It was great i had running hot water for a nice soak without having to wait hours for the tank to heat the water or boiling kettles.
On Friday the joiner came to box all the pipes in, that didn’t take too long, he was done by about 130pm,he was nice and obliging too. After he left i did a bit of cleaning up but then i found what was my airing cupboard still had the fittings in leaving me nowhere to hang my clothes. I called them up and he said they’d sort it when they came on Monday.

Shopping !!! ;)

Had a bit of a lazy morning, just relaxing after the day before, i played on my computer whilst David and Sarah did some work. In the afternoon we went to the retail park to do some shopping, Sarah needed a new keyboard. I had a little look around Matalan whilst they went to PC World, i didn’t have long to look around but found some cute shorts and a nice little sleeveless t shirt, they’ll be ideal to slip on if we get a Summer

After there we went to Costco, we were all a bit hungry by this time so we had some pizza then David and me had ice cream and Sarah had a danish pastry, it didn’t look a lot but we were stuffed afterwards, then we went around the store. David and Sarah did some food shopping, i got myself a tower fan, something i’ve been wanting for ages so i was pleased about that. If the smell coming into my flat last week from the flat below is anything to go by i know i’m going to need it even more this year as i’ll be having to keep my windows closed. It’s enough you have your own cooking smells but someone elses greasy chips is a definite no no, besides i don’t have them at home.

On the way home we called into to see Ruth and Doug had a cup of tea then came home. We had our dinner, burgers and chicken, yum then later cheesecake and cream yum yum. David down loaded my iTunes music for me so i’m happy about that, i can play it all on my stereo now. I had a few vodkas David had his beers and we watched some tv but there wasn’t much on.

Whitsun Bank Holiday Weekend

Hello Everyone, I’m staying at my brother David and Sarahs for the weekend. They came for me on Friday, i got home about 3pm so just had enough time to bath and change and get my things together.

We had a nice dinner of chicken fajitas (hope i spelt that right ) and cheesecake then just chilled out for the night, watched some tv, i had a couple of vodkas, David had some beers, i think Sarah abstained. I was very tired, my eyes were struggling to keep open, i hate that feeling but it’s something i have to suffer, part of an ongoing problem.

Yesterday i woke pretty early but at least i’d slept through the night, i tried to go back to sleep but couldn’t, then the kids came out to play, so i played on my computer. David and Sarah did a barbeque in the afternoon, Sarah went about 4:30pm to pick my sister Hazel and Chris and my niece Nicola up. It turned out to be a beautiful sunny day, which was so great being able to sit and eat outside. My sister Ruth and Doug came later as she’d been working Sarah went to pick them up about 6:30pm, and my other nieces Ashleigh came, and Kirsty but she only came for a short time. Sarah cooked a nice barbeque, sweetcorn, sausages, burgers, lamb and tuna, David made his own garlic bread so lots of garlic

Something i’m really happy about, i want to go to Poland for dental treatment, i was telling Hazel about what i want to do, she said as she’s not having a holiday this year as long as i give her plenty of notice for her to tell her work she would come with me. So i hope when the time comes that she still can come.
Later we played on the wii, what a laugh that is, especially when you’ve had a few drinks too

I’m not sure i think it was about 10:30pm when they all left, then we went to sleep soon after.

Well since i last wrote i’ve still been having a difficult time, struggling with my fatigue, worsened by the lack of sleep due to lack of consideration from the tenants below me. I’ve been trying to keep going on 4/5 hours, i can’t do it, i need a good 7/8 hours. It’s been so bad i couldn’t see properly it was like looking through fog and by the evening like trying to peer through slits and the aching around my face and in my body is indescribable.
However, after calling into the housing office again on Thurs 8 May and explaining my problem yet again, i told the man on the desk i’d been in before and telephoned twice but noone had gotten back to me. He said he’d email, which he did while i was there and said if the manager didn’t call me to call her. I had a phone call on the following Monday, she said she’d write and call them in. I recieved another phone call on Friday 16th, she was sorry she hadn’t been in the office much but she’d be writing to them today to go see her next week. So fingers crossed and i hope there wont be any repercussions from these people.
On Friday i finally got to bed again about 11:30, i have to wait until they go quiet and i think they’ve gone to sleep. Because of the way things have been i have a constant fear i’m going to be woken just as i’m going to sleep or when i am asleep. I woke about 8am then slept again until 11am, i couldn’t believe it, the first time since they came. Either someone hit me over the head or they hit them and knocked them out cold. I still had to have a sleep later though, i was trying to watch programmes i’d recorded but i kept nodding off. so i gave in and slept for about 2 hours.

This morning i wasn’t so lucky, she woke me about 7:30am with this horrid cough she has, she sounds like a navvy, ugh yuk, she makes me ill.

Neighbours From Hell

Hello everyone, well again nothing exciting to report only problems i’m having. I don’t know what it is about the block i live in but save for a couple of tenants all the nut jobs come here. For ten years i had problems with the neighbour next door, he’s sick now so i never see him which is a good thing. Now i have this couple move into the flat below me, i hate them all they do is bang cupboards and doors and fight. It’s been horrendous for me since they moved in, i have to have the volume on my tv turned up most of the time to detract from the constant thudding of cupboards and doors. At night i get little rest, i can’t get to sleep before 12 midnight because they disturb me, they can’t close a door they have to bang it shut, all this booms and vibrates through my flat. I’m constantly being startled and my heart’s pounding after the shocks. Then there’s the nights i’m woken at 1 and 2 in the morning because they’re slamming and banging doors, this is the most awful and sickening way to be woken up and is very stressful for me. Then i’m subject to the shouting and swearing then follows more door slamming. I have to be up at 6, i’m struggling on empty to get up for work let alone do my job. I complained to the city council on several occasions, but nothing happened, they gave me numbers to call but i was told it was only 24 hour Thursday - Sunday. I’ve started writing down now when these disturbances happen, the other week it was so bad my flat was shaking with the vibrations, it was awful i was lying in my bed and it was shaking. I’ve got holes in my carpet now from where i’ve hammered on the floor in anger at being woken up yet again. Our homes have been transferred now we are no longer City Council we have been taken over by Liverpool Mutual Homes, i’ve been into the offices and asked to see someone about this but was told that person was on long term sick but it would be passed on, no one called me. A week later a man came out to see me to sign the new contract, i told him what was happening he said he’d email someone, i still didn’t hear from anyone. I called again a week later, they said they’d write to them and gave me numbers to call if there’s any more problems. Well if nothing’s done and this situation continues i’ll be seeking advice.

Just checking in, i know it’s been a while again but very little has been happening. Except for a couple of occasions with my friends Lyn and Yvonne my life just revolves around work and my home.

The Easter Weekend was a very welcome break from work, the weather wasn’t good so i didn’t go out until the Easter Monday. My friend Lyn called me on the Thursday and invited me for dinner. I met our friend Yvonne, we then had to get two buses, besides the one i’d come on to meet Yvonne, what a palaver, but we eventually arrived. It was very nice, another friend Maureen was there, i knew her from when we all went out together Friday nights, and she’d invited a couple she’d been neighbours with. Lyn had done a lovely roast dinner with all the trimmings, which i really enjoyed as i don’t get to have one, and a apple strudel for desert and i had a bottle of nice rose wine. After dinner we all went into the conservatory and had a good chat and some laughs. We stayed ’til about 6pm, Yvonne was panicky about getting home, Maureen came with us and she showed us where to get the bus so i only had to get two buses instead of three, so cutting my journey time down considerably.

So that’s been about it really, so i don’t know when the next nice or exciting event will be, but i hope soon, so ’til the next time, cheery bye xx

Sorry it’s been a while again, my laptop broke the beginning of January, so i was unable to access my site. I got my new lap top 13th February and my brother David came on the Sunday to transfer all my files back

So what’s been happening since my last post, we had the team leader at works 50th birthday party, that was a good night, Maureen, Eileen and Pat picked me up in their taxi, we met Jean and Betty there. We had a kitty for the drinks and Maureen and me did the waitressing, we were very surprised as the rounds weren’t at all expensive. We had lots to drink and Maureen, Betty and me had lots of dances, i really enjoyed myself.

I met my friend Elaine and her friends for a drink again, then i had a night out with my friend Kathy and her friends, we went around a few bars then into a couple of clubs, i was enjoying myself until Kathy lost her drinks and went to take mine, when i told her she became abusive as usual. So after i finished my drinks i left and went home. I’ve not made any contact since and i’ve not heard from her ’til yesterday when she texted me about a cardi she lent me.

Since Christmas i’ve made some life changing decisions, i’ve decided i’m not going to pursue my relationship with Antonio, I’ve had my doubts since i came home, it’s taken me a while but i finally realised i can’t afford him and don’t trust him. I also realised i’d be putting myself back into a situation i’d just gotten myself out of and that scared me.

This also applies to friends and others i meet, i don’t want to be around abusive people or have them in my life any more.

Boxing Day

I spent the day at my sister Hazels, David and Sarah came about 1pm for me, we were being picked up from theirs about 2pm by Chris. Chris’s mum and dad Eileen and Len were there, we had a drink while we waited for Ruth and Doug to arrive, they were waiting for a taxi so Chris went to pick them up. We had a nice roast dinner and buffet laid on, after we ate we exchanged our presents, then drank lots more. Hazels friend came later, I had a play with Nicola on her new wii game that was fun even after lots of vodka

I don’t know what time we left, i was staying at David and Sarahs, that was me til the next morning
